Texas is about to enact the nation's toughest anti-sanctuary city law. in the nation It not only allows cops and sheriff's to question the immigration status of anyone, anywhere, at anytime, it also specifically makes it a crime for a local cop or sheriff to refuse to detain an undocumented immigrant who was otherwise eligible to go free.

This law will last the ten minutes it takes for a federal judge to detrmine whether Texas can nullify the 4th Amendment.

Imagine this: an undocumented woman is raped. She calls 911. The cops come, ask where she comes from, because she looks Latina. When they discover she is here illegally, they take her into custody, and hold her for deportation. Her rapist goes free.

Don't mess with Texas?
