We will engage viewers without pandering to them. Shows should help our guests and our audience gain insight and resolve problems they face.

Guests should not be used for sport or spectacle. Civility must prevail.

4.NO STUDIO VIOLENCE

Physical violence will not be tolerated. Any acts of studio violence will be edited out of the final product.

5. PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Counselors, therapists, trained professionals and experts will be a prominent show component.

6. AFTER-CARE

Professional help will continue to be made available in appropriate cases to guests in need.

7. LIGHT OVER HEAT

We will continue to tackle tough social issues in a responsible, non-sensational, informational manner.

8. CHILDREN MAY BE WATCHING

While producing for an adult audience, we will bear in mind that some children may be watching. Mature subject matter always will be placed in an acceptable context for daytime viewing.

9. COMMUNITY OUTREACH

We will link the home audience with resources in their communities, acting as a powerful clearinghouse that is not readily available elsewhere.

10. ACCENTUATING THE POSITIVE

While taking hard looks at hard topics, we will emphasize the positive aspects of our life and times, rather than dwell on the negative or the bizarre. We will emphasize solutions, values and community spirit.
